Update:
- It has been tested that Tik Tok cannot be used in card-in status. Multiple nodes from various airports have been tested, and none are usable, basically confirming that the situation is the same as in mainland China.
- It has been tested that this card cannot purchase apps in the App Store; the payment mode indicates insufficient balance (although the balance in My3APP is sufficient). Currently, it seems that the Hong Kong App Store can only accept payments through AlipayHK and gift cards without a Hong Kong card.
This is a physical SIM card that can roam in mainland China and provides a native Hong Kong IP, and it also offers eSIM services. Friends with eSIM-enabled phones can activate it themselves through the 3HK official website. Friends using mainland China phones can also activate it by purchasing a physical card through Taobao, just like I did. This SIM card can be freely converted between physical card and eSIM form. (The cost for converting a physical card to eSIM is 28 HKD, while the reverse is 48 HKD and can only be mailed locally in Hong Kong.)

The Taobao purchase provides a 3HK prepaid card with 50 HKD included. After receiving it, you need to recharge enough balance to purchase the corresponding roaming package in the My3 APP. Once successful, it can be used normally. If the recharge amount is over 200 HKD, the validity can be extended for one year, starting from the date of recharge. (The My3 APP recharge methods support credit cards, AlipayHK, Alipay, and UnionPay.)
The 3HK DIY Greater Bay Area package is as follows:
I made a reservation through Taobao on Friday, June 9. Taobao showed that it was sent via SF Express on Monday, June 12, and I received it on Wednesday morning, June 14. I activated it using a mainland China iPhone. After downloading the My3 APP with a Hong Kong ID, I could directly scan the code to activate it. The overall process is relatively simple. (If there is no service for a long time, you can restart the phone.)
This card can be used in mainland China without real-name registration.
I don't know why I can't directly jump to Alipay when I use it; I can only pay in the browser.
The current exchange rate is really touching. I remember when I used CMHK's WanZhong card in 2020, the Hong Kong dollar exchange rate was about 0.82.
It is recommended to use 3G in mainland China. Of course, rich brothers and sisters can use it freely. After the data of this card is exhausted, you can repurchase the 268 HKD package to get more data. It has been tested that you can access Facebook while roaming in mainland China.
It has been tested that using a ladder connected to HK nodes in card-in status can access Tik Tok (not confirmed if it can be accessed later).
It has been tested that Tik Tok cannot be used in data mode.
It has been tested that this card can be added to the mobile billing payment mode in the Hong Kong App Store (it has only been added, and it has not been tested whether it is usable).
In summary, the advantages of 268 HKD for one year with 45GB of data + mobile billing in the Hong Kong App Store + no real-name requirement for use in mainland China make this card one of the most worthwhile Hong Kong SIM cards to hold long-term. If you only need a number, I would recommend the clubsim prepaid card, which can be purchased for 50 HKD and extended with a 6 HKD SMS package.
If you are a rich brother or sister, then it is even more recommended to go on stage directly.
